WTF: Spider-Man 4 Gone For Good
2009 saw Hollywood’s rumor mill really do a number on Spiderman 4 (no pun intended), with headline after headline flooding just about every major entertainment website. After 2007′s Schumacheriffic threequel, the wheels had begun to fall off the Spiderman gravy train. Still, a fourth film was always a priority for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios.

We started our “best of” series with the top trailers of the aughts. Go and check it out if you haven’t seen it already. A trailer really does sell the film to us. Gives us something to look forward to, gets our hopes up…
Sometimes a bit too much, as is the case here. The flipside is that there were a bunch of other films with great potential, but when it came to crunch time, people left the theater scratching their heads. Some of the films on this list didn’t even make back their budget, which is truly shameful. There will probably be a lot of agreement on these, and truth be told, we know there’s more. We could barely even narrow it down to a top 10. So let’s get this over with, shall we?
Top 10 Trailers of the Aughts
We are kicking our “best of the decade” series off here at Hollywood Prophets first with a highly unusual category. Trailers. It’s not something many people think about as being worthy of distinction.
But if you think about it, so much of what we see in a trailer decides whether we will see that film or not.
Trailers themselves have similar styles, whether it be for a teen slasher, a romantic comedy, or the next piece of crap starring Nicolas Cage.
