At Hollywoodprophets.com, we know there’s a zillion other choices for movie blogs out there. What makes us special? We call everything like we see it – hence the name. If you come to us for movie news, reviews, and speculation, we tell you everything you need to know. You won’t have to shuffle through dozens of articles that you wouldn’t care less about, everything you’ll have to hear to keep up on the movie biz will be right there on our front page.

Rumor has it founder Adam Gold got the name when his 11-year old self walked out of a screening of Pluto Nash, thinking the film was one of the biggest piles of shit he had ever seen. In turn, his young, gullible friends started treating him as the messiah and the end-all-be-all judge of the box office.

When we make predictions, we’ve thought them through by listening to the people around us. Some more established film sites and magazines might talk to the CEO of fandango to get prediction data, but we talk to the normal people, and get plenty of data from them. We don’t live in LA and we aren’t telling you what we think because we’re buddies with Bruce Willis, we’re telling you what we think because it’s simply what we believe. You might find that these predictions are true more than some of the pro’s are.

Recently, Adam found similarly talented people and invited them to join his efforts in turning his blog into an oracle for movie news. The suckers took the bait. And so lives Hollywood Prophets today.
